Made for everyday kitchen jobs
What the different models are designed to make easier.

Sugar and jam at the right stage
Candy, caramel and jam depend on a few degrees. A clip-on thermometer stays in the pot and shows the temperature the whole time, without holding it.

Oil at a steady temperature
For deep frying, a thermometer on a clip with a long probe keeps your hands away from the oil while you watch the reading.

Hundredths of a gram for small things
The 0.01 g scales weigh rings, coins, gemstones and craft materials, with carat, pennyweight and troy-ounce units built in.

What BOMATA products share
Fine readouts
Kitchen scales read in 0.1 g steps and the small scales in 0.01 g, so yeast, salt and spices can be weighed instead of guessed.
Fast readings
The digital thermometers show the temperature within one to six seconds, depending on the model.
Easy to clean
Stainless steel pans and probes, and waterproof ratings from IPX6 to IPX8 on several models.
Calibration & HOLD
Scales can be recalibrated with a weight, and most scales and thermometers can lock the reading on screen.
How to use them
The basic steps from the product listings, rewritten in short form. Always follow the manual that comes with your product.
Place it on a flat surface
Set the scale on a firm, level surface away from drafts. On pocket scales, remove the transport pads under the platform before the first use.
Tare the container
Switch on, put your bowl or tray on the pan and press TARE so the display shows zero. Then add the ingredient.
Pick the unit, lock if needed
Press UNIT to switch between grams, ounces, millilitres and more. If a big bowl hides the display, press HOLD to keep the result on screen.
Insert the probe
Push the probe into the thickest part of the food or into the liquid, away from bone and the bottom of the pan. Clip-on models: slide the clip so the tip sits deep enough.
Wait for the reading
Digital models settle within a few seconds; switch between °C and °F if needed and use HOLD to keep the value. Dial models need a little longer.
Clean and store
Wipe or rinse the probe after every use, according to the model’s water rating, and put the protective sheath or tip cover back on.
Care and batteries
Wipe the scale pans after use; only the IPX6 kitchen scale is meant to be rinsed under the tap. Do not leave weight on a scale in storage. Recalibrate a scale if it starts to drift, and replace batteries when the display dims. Digital thermometers use button cells (LR44 or CR2032) that are included; dial thermometers need none.
If a reading looks wrong
- The weight drifts or jumpsMove the scale away from fans or drafts, make sure nothing touches the pan, and run the calibration from the manual.
- The display switches off too soonSeveral models let you change or switch off the auto-off timer in the settings. Otherwise, press a button briefly before it times out.
- Thermometer reads too high or too lowCheck it in a glass of ice water: it should show about 0 °C / 32 °F. Models with a calibration function can be adjusted.
- Fogged or blank displayLet it dry completely and check the battery. Only soak models that are rated for it (IP67 / IPX8); the others are meant for rinsing.
This guide describes product features as stated in the listings. For food safety, follow the recommended core temperatures for meat and poultry from your national food agency.

“This is the best thermometer I've ever owned. It's very accurate, and is quite sensitive to temperature changes, updating its readout very quickly. Perfect for developing colour film.”
“Have used this for deep frying, and it works well. Seems accurate with temps compared to other thermometers, and much faster than analog. Good for monitoring temps for frying or candy making etc. Nice and long for deep pots. Overall a good value.”
Frequently asked questions
Which BOMATA products are available here?
This page lists every BOMATA scale and thermometer we found in stock on this marketplace from the brand’s own seller, grouped by model. Each color or pack size has its own card with a link to the current listing.
Are prices shown on this page?
No. Prices change often, so this guide links to the current listing for each product instead. Tap “Learn More” on any card to see today’s price and delivery.
Is a 0.1 g readout the same as 0.1 g accuracy?
No. The readout (increment) is the smallest step the display shows. BOMATA’s own listing explains that a 0.1 g scale is typically accurate to about ±0.2–0.3 g, while scales with a 1 g readout can be off by 2–3 g. For hundredths of a gram, use one of the 0.01 g scales.
How do I calibrate a BOMATA scale?
Every model has a calibration mode. You put a known weight on the pan when the display asks for it; the large 5 kg scale comes with a 100 g weight for this. The exact button sequence is in the manual of each model.
What is the % function on the large scale for?
It is a baker’s percentage mode: weigh the flour and set it as 100 %, then the scale shows every other ingredient as a percentage of the flour. That makes scaling bread and sourdough recipes up or down easy.
Are the scales rechargeable?
Some are. The large 5 kg scale charges over USB-C and also takes AAA batteries; the 13 lb food scale and the 0.01 g gram scale come in rechargeable and AAA versions; the IPX6, jewelry and pocket scales run on two AAA batteries. Each card names the version.
How accurate are the thermometers?
According to the listings: T101 ±1 °C (±1.8 °F), TL501 and T801 ±0.5 °C (±0.9 °F) and the dial models about ±5 °C (±10 °F). You can check any thermometer in ice water, which should read about 0 °C / 32 °F.
Which thermometer is best for candy and deep frying?
A model that clips onto the pot, so it stays in the sugar or oil: the digital TL501 or T801, or the battery-free dial thermometers. The T801 also remembers the highest and lowest temperature.
Can I put the thermometers in the dishwasher?
Only the oven-safe dial thermometers (IPX8) can go on the top rack. The T101 (IPX7) and T801 (IPX6) are meant to be rinsed under the tap, the IP67 dial models can be soaked, and the TL501 should be wiped clean.
Can I use the jewelry or gram scale for selling by weight?
No. The listings state that these scales are not legal for trade. They are meant for home, kitchen, hobby and jewelry use.
